April 2: Cougars Win VIJHL Playoff Championship With Shutout Of Bucs
The Victoria Cougars won the VIJHL playoff championship with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Nanaimo Buccaneers, clinching the series 4-1. Goaltender Finn Wilson made 39 saves for his second consecutive shutout and was named first star.
April 1: Cougars Blank Bucs, Lead Final 3-1
Ethan Davey scored two goals and added two assists to lead the Victoria Cougars to a 5-0 shutout of the Nanaimo Buccaneers in game four of the VIJHL Playoff Championship Series. Finn Wilson stopped all 24 shots for the shutout as Victoria took a 3-1 series lead.
March 30: Cougars Edge Bucs In OT, Lead Final 2-1
Grady Sluggett scored in overtime to give the Victoria Cougars a 3-2 win over the Nanaimo Buccaneers in the VIJHL Playoff Championship Series. Finn Wilson made 60 saves for Victoria as the Buccaneers outshot the Cougars 62-31.
VIJHL All Star Event In Langford January 22-23, 2027
The VIJHL All Star event will be held on Vancouver Island at The Q Centre in Langford on January 22-23, 2027. The event, sponsored by the City of Langford, will feature a Canada vs. World All-Star Game and involvement from the BCHL and WIJHL.

The Victoria Cougars defeated the Peninsula Panthers 4-3 in Game 6 of the VIJHL South Division final, tying the series at 3-3. Grady Sluggett scored twice for Victoria, while Finn Wilson made 29 saves in the win.
March 21: Buccaneers Down Glacier Kings, Earn VIJHL Final Berth
The Nanaimo Buccaneers defeated the Comox Valley Glacier Kings 4-2 to win their North Division series 4-2 and advance to the VIJHL Championship Final. Aaron Pichette made 41 saves for the Bucs, who await the winner of the South Division series.
